Created for the iconic Atlantis The Royal, the sauna suite was envisioned as a deeply immersive thermal sanctuary that embodies serenity, craftsmanship, and sensory sophistication. Designed to complement the hotel’s ultra-luxury wellness experience, the space was carefully developed to evoke a sense of quiet retreat through a harmonious interplay of warmth, texture, illumination, and architectural precision. Every detail was considered to transform the traditional sauna into a refined environment dedicated to relaxation, detoxification, and holistic restoration.
The sauna room features bespoke timber cladding crafted from premium heat-treated wood selected for its durability, aromatic character, and natural elegance under elevated temperatures. Tiered floating benches were integrated to maximise comfort while enhancing the spatial rhythm of the interior, allowing guests to experience varying heat intensities within a visually seamless setting. Soft ambient lighting concealed within the architectural detailing introduces a gentle atmospheric glow, creating a calming transition between shadow and warmth.
Advanced heating technology was incorporated to ensure consistent thermal distribution, controlled humidity balance, and optimal air circulation throughout the enclosure.
